Fenwick — Acacia Wood Utensil Set

$42.99

Metal tools ruin non-stick coatings and the plastic ones warp against a hot pan. Fenwick is acacia — hard enough not to fray at the edge, soft enough to leave a coated pan alone. The set that ends up in the crock by the stove rather than the back of a drawer.

Why you'll like it

  • Acacia is harder than beech, so the edges stay crisp instead of furring after a few months of use
  • Safe on non-stick, ceramic and enameled cast iron — nothing here will score a coating
  • Warm mid-brown that darkens slightly with use, so the set ages rather than looking tired
  • Five pieces, 10.5 to 12 inches — long enough in the handle to keep your knuckles out of a hot pan
  • Sits well in a counter crock, which is where wooden tools actually get used

Questions

What is in the set?
Five pieces: a 12-inch slotted spatula, an 11.2-inch strainer spoon, a 10.7-inch soup ladle, a 10.5-inch serving spoon and a 10.5-inch salad fork.

Will these scratch my non-stick pans?
No. Wood is softer than any pan coating in normal use, which is the whole reason to own wooden tools rather than metal ones.

How should I wash them?
Hand wash and dry straight away. Leaving wooden tools soaking is what splits them; the dishwasher does it faster.

Will they stain?
Turmeric and tomato will tint them over time. Acacia is dark enough that it reads as patina rather than a stain, and a light sand with fine paper takes it back if it bothers you.

How long will it take to arrive?
We pack in two to three business days, then one to three business days in transit. Shipping is free anywhere in the US.

Can I return it?
Yes — 30 days from delivery, unused and in its original packaging. Change of mind means you cover return shipping; if it arrived faulty, damaged or not what was described, we cover it.
